ProjectRoadWarrior Wanted to send a note about a charity ride BRP is supporting involving wounded veterans.  It is called Project Road Warrior.  BRP has donated several Spyders for the cause, which will see veterans ride from Seattle to Tampa Bay from June 5 to 14.  It is a great cause, and it is something I have been pushing for several years here at BRP so I am excited to see it happen.  Just thought I would send the details so you could share it with your membership as I am sure there would be interest to hook up and ride with the participants at some of the stops -- in fact, that is encouraged. There is also a donation page if people want to support it. This is the first year for the event, and I do hope it is not the last.  Here is what I ask, however... if any individuals or groups plan on riding a section, they must get in contact with Craig -- he is one of the main organizers. His e-mail is: craig@projectroadwarrior.org.  The reason being is they need to know if they will need traffic control along the route if a ton of people are going to show up that day. I would like to know as well, but it is essential that Craig is notified.  So, feel free to spread the word. It is a great cause and I am proud that BRP is supporting it. Hope all is well, contact me with any questions you may have. I have attached a pretty comprehensive overview, too.  - Can-Am BRP

SRA CF is planning to support this BRP sponsored event by ryding with the "enabled ryders" and their Spyders on the final leg of their trip from Seattle to Tampa.

We will ryde with them from 4760 Salisbury Road, Jacksonville Marriott, Jacksonville, Florida west to 301 and then south to Tampa/Clearwater (Barney's and the Quaker Steak & Lube).

Central Florida ryders will meet at usual I4 rest stop eastbound past exit 94 at 6:30am.  We will pick up Atlantic Coast ryders at RaceWay gas station on Speedway Blvd (92) just off I95 at 7:15am and plan to be at the ride site at 9am.  The ryde to Tampa begins at 9:30am.

The full round trip of this ryde home to home would be in the range of 450 to 550 miles for the day so it is conceivable that some ryders may wish to ride to Jacksonville the night before or stay in the area of Quaker Steak & Lube in Clearwater after the welcome home party, before returning the next day.  Those of us staying overnight near Quaker Steak are staying at Country Inn & Suites 8050 U S 19 N, Pinellas Park, Fl only two miles from the event party.

We will provide more details as they are released.   Please let us know if you are attending and where you will meet us.
