2nd Annual CFPS Food Bank Benefit - February 2014 We topped last year's numbers!!  Sixteen 55 gallon drums of food and $1,100 in cash. 2nd Harvest Food Bank picked up 2,007 lbs of food donations at CFPS. That’s the equivalent of 1,338 meals!!  Click for pictures from Central Florida PowerSports.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization that collects and distributes donated food to more than 500 nonprofit partner agencies in six Central Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia.

Last year our event generated $732 in cash donations/entry fees plus eight 60-gallon bins full of food! Let's top that this year!

As we did last year we will get the food donation tubs set up at CFPS around February 1st and we will encourage folks to drop off contributions every time they visit during the month.   We made a difference last year and we hope it will be even a larger impact this time around.

This year we are planning to hand out paper/plastic grocery bags with a note attached explaining the food drive.

Instead of a poker run, this year the format will be a 50/50 ON STEROIDS...   We will meet at Central Florida Powersports at 9:30am, then sign in and pay our entry fee of $15 per person.   Then between 10am and 10:30 am we will leave in group Rydes of no more than 8 Spyders in a group- sign up sheets will be available - groups identified by color code.   Optimally, groups of only 5 or 6 Spyders will leave at staggered times and meet at Winter Garden Pizza Company (42 West Plant Street Winter Garden FL 34787) for lunch.   Our main route will involve a beautiful back country ryde.  Then we ride back in small groups to CFPS for the drawings to be held at 1:30pm.  You must be present to win.   Two drawing will take place for half of the 50/50 entry fee money.   First place will get 30%, Second place 20%, and of course 50% will go to the food bank, then there will be numerous drawings for gift cards, apparel, accessories etc.   Last year the number of prizes was mind boggling.

There will also be free event T shirts for those who sign up with CFPS by February 24th

Thank you in advance for opening your hearts and your pantries to this worthy cause.
