South Shore Chapter 2025 Board Nominations
Dear club members, it’s time to get ready for our 2025 Ryding season. It is also time to nominate officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) for the coming year. In the link below you will find the elected positions that are open along with a brief description of the primary responsibilities of these positions.
The nominee must be present at our March 8th chapter meeting. Please make sure that the person you are nominating is willing to hold office and to fulfill the following obligations along with their elected duties.
Be present for at least six group ryding events during the year.
Attend a minimum of three Board Meetings.
Officers may perform more than one function, however, will be seen as only one voting member on the Board. Please note that if there is one nomination, that person will automatically be elected.
Nominations must be submitted by the end of the day, Friday, February 14th, 2025. Based on your nominations, those individuals will then be placed on the ballot and voted on at the beginning of our Chapter meeting on March 8th. Note that nominations will be reviewed prior to the meeting to ensure those submitted are members of good standings with the club. Should you have any questions, please email our chapter email at southshorespyderryders@gmail.com.
Members may only be elected to office if they are in good standing with the club and are present for the March 8th Chapter meeting unless they are unable to attend due to a medical or family issue. The issue must be submitted to the Club President (Melanie Hawley) at least 5-days prior to the meeting and must also be read to the membership that is present prior to a vote for said position the member is running for.
Once a Board of Directors has been elected they will then look to appoint individuals to the positions such as, Road Captain(s), Tail Gunner(s), Sergeant at Arms (s), Webmaster(s), Events Coordinator(s), and other positions as needed. Know that it is the collective of all positions that will comprise the Board.
