Group Ryde - August 3, 2019

Organized and led by the Richardsons.

Check out the Exotic Feline Rescue Center!

This is a 'big cat' rescue - tigers, lions, cheetahs, etc. It's VERY cool! Up close and personal with the animals. Open 10A - 5P daily, $10 admission. The drive to the center is gravel, but it is well packed. We have ridden there several times on two and three wheels and never had trouble.

We will leave from Culver’s at 4701 Kentucky Ave, feet up at 10:30. We will take SR 67 with a short detour along twisty Robb Hill Rd to the Tomato Pie Pizza Place 100 W Inion St Paragon (11:30AM). Then we will take 231 and 46 to Exotic Feline Rescue Center 2221 E Ashboro Rd. Centerpointe (approx. 1:30-2:00). For those that want to ride back together, we will take 42 and 142 back toward Indianapolis. Just a reminder - the driveway to the Rescue Center is gravel, but older gravel and well packed. Admission is $10/adult.

Circus City Festival Parade - July 20, 2019

The Circus City Festival in Peru, Indiana is July 13-20, 2019. On the concluding Saturday of the festival, the CCFI hosts the only circus heritage parade in the United States. Authentic circus wagons, clowns, calliopes, wild animals, floats, and bands make their way down the center streets of the town. This parade is the longest running circus parade in the country and the second largest parade in Indiana.

Plans are in the works for Brickyard Chapter and North Central Indiana Chapter to ride in the parade. We may be limited to the number of participants. Participants would “dress appropriately” with clown nose and wig.

Indianapolis Memorial Tour - June 1, 2019

The Indiana War Memorials Foundation supports the museums, monuments and memorials that form the Indiana War Memorial Plaza Historic District—a National Historic Landmark District that is also on the National Register of Historic Places. No other city in the United States maintains as many acres dedicated to honoring veterans. Only Washington D.C. has more monuments dedicated to veterans and military conflicts. These historic treasures give us a concrete and meaningful way to ensure that the sacrifices of Hoosier veterans are remembered forever.

Walking tour (3.0-3.5 miles) of 11 memorials in Indianapolis with a stop at TwoDEEP Brewing Co. and lunch at Burgerhaus.

Meet at 8 Second Saloon (111 N Lynhurst Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46224) at 10:30 AM to pick up t-shirt and wrist band for Miracle Ride. Feet up at 11:00 AM. We will then drive to parking lot or garage near state capital to start our walking tour.
