The North Central Chapter will be in the Saturday, July 24 Parade! They are allowed 20 Spyders/Rykers maximum.

If the NC Chapter cannot fill all 20 spots, we can fill in from the Brickyard Chapter.

Need to be in Peru for parade line-up before 10:00 am that day.

It was tons of fun 2 years ago when we were in the parade. And it’s a big small-town USA parade!!

Open spots will be filled in the sequence that members e-mail Jeff Boruvka their desire to participate.

Please submit your interest to Jeff Boruvka by July 1st.

If you don’t want to be in the parade, take a seat along the parade route in Peru. It’s a great time!

The Hero Reward program is designed to provide U.S. Service men and women, police officers, and fire fighters a one of a kind retreat to aid in both mental and physical recovery from traumatizing events. The nature of these heroes’ careers has a certain degree of sacrifice involved, but some experience situations that far exceed the call of duty.

Located on a couple hundred acres in the hills of Southern Indiana, the Hero Reward Program offers lodging, world class fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, skeet shooting, and much more. In addition, our local community also offers attractions such as amusement parks, caverns, golfing, casinos, horse track, Bass Pro Shop, antique shops, and many more.

Hi Ladies!

We have been tossing this idea around for a while, and are very excited to announce we have a date and location for our first Brickyard Spyder Ryders Ladies Retreat!

We have a cabin at Patoka 4 Seasons Resort Friday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Sept. 23.  The cabin sleeps 8 (up to 10 with two air mattresses) and if we exceed that, we can reserve the adjoining cabin.  The final cost cannot be determined until we have a firm count, but it will likely be less than $65 per person (lodging) for the entire weekend.  We will then split the cost of food (breakfast, lunch, and snacks) in the cabin.  We will probably go out to dinner Friday and Saturday evening, and return home Sunday afternoon.

Weather permitting, this will be a Spyder Ryding event!  There are some great twisty roads in that area!  We will also have time to explore French Lick, West Baden, and Patoka Lake.  Bring games to play in the cabin as well :-) Once we make the reservation, we are locked into that weekend.  So if the weather is bad, we will drive down in cars and still have a great time!

We need to determine if we will need an extra cabin as soon as possible.  That being said, please RSVP yes or no as soon as possible, no later than Aug. 10.  We will then get a final count and will be able to determine the actual cost.

Here is the link to Patoka 4 Seasons, and we will be staying in Cabin 7A. I have stayed here twice and really like it!  http://www.patoka.com

Please let me know if you have any questions at all!  In an effort to avoid blowing up everyone's email box, please reply only to me, unless you have a question for the group.  I will send an update of RSVPs in a week or so, and will exclude anyone who has said they are not able to join us.
